OUR NATURE MONTESSORI CURRICULUM STATEMENT
Dr. Maria Montessori observed that the natural world provides unparalleled opportunities for learning and viewed it as a necessary piece in the education of the whole child. At Muddy Boots Nature Montessori, we honour that vision and integrate our all our beautiful, rich, and varied environments into our daily curriculum programs.
Our curriculum, at Muddy Boots Nature Montessori, which is inclusive to all children and families, promotes the child's independence, curiosity, language and social skills. Our nature Montessori environments are designed to meet the individual needs of each child and to provide them with many opportunities to discover and learn.
Whether your child is playing in our outdoor environment, planting seeds, collecting the eggs or getting a lesson in our indoor environment, he or she is learning and building the foundations for their future learning.
In our school children are free to make their own choices and to choose what materials they would like to work with.
Our learning materials are beautiful and simple, and engage the child in a meaningful way.
We develop a strong sense of pride and high self-esteem in our children by encouraging them to take on responsibilities in the classroom.
Our classrooms both indoor and outdoor are tailored to fit the needs of the child.
With us we help our children make an easy transition from life at home to school life, as our curriculum is designed to be that learning bridge.
We encourage children to take care of one another, and learn to be mentors themselves.
We honour the spirit of the child and adjust our curriculum to fit their needs.
